What the Quadrant Technologies Lawsuit Alleges
The plaintiff, Alexander Floyd, claims Quadrant violated Washington’s pay transparency law by posting job openings that did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation. The case is about the content of job postings. It is not a claim that Quadrant underpaid employees.
Quadrant denies that it violated the law or can be held liable. The parties settled to avoid the expense and uncertainty of continuing, and the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing. The court has not decided who is right.
What Washington’s Pay Transparency Law Requires
RCW 49.58.110, part of Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, requires a covered employer’s job posting for a specific opening to include:
- the wage scale or salary range (or the fixed wage, if only a fixed amount is offered)
- a general description of the benefits offered
- a general description of other compensation offered
The law has applied since January 1, 2023, and covers postings made directly by the employer or through a third party such as a recruiter or job board. Washington’s Department of Labor & Industries says the requirements apply to employers with 15 or more employees. Whether a given posting complied depends on its actual wording, and this settlement does not find that any posting was unlawful.
Who Qualifies for the Quadrant Technologies Settlement?
Per the official FAQ, Quadrant’s records show you are in the class if you applied for a job opening in Washington with Quadrant between January 1, 2023 and July 26, 2025, and the posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation.
- You do not need to have worked for Quadrant. The class is built around applicants, including people who were rejected or withdrew.
- Viewing a posting is not enough. The class definition is based on applying.
- Applying more than once does not appear to earn multiple payments. The FAQ describes one equal share per valid claimant.
- No notice? Contact the administrator and ask whether its records include you and how to get your LoginID and PIN. Have your full name and mailing address ready.

How Much Money Can You Get?
The $900,000 is the total fund, not a per-person amount. Every class member who submits a valid, timely claim receives an equal share of the fund after court-approved deductions. The official FAQ says your estimated payment is printed on the claim form mailed with your notice. Payments are characterized as non-wage damages and reported on Form 1099.
The official site does not publish one estimate for everyone. The $17.93 figure comes from the third-party site ClaimDepot, so treat it as a rough guide only. Your own estimate and the final amount depend on the number of valid claims and the deductions the court approves.
The fund also has to cover:
| Item | Amount | Status |
| Attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses | $225,000 | Requested; the court may award less |
| Service award for Alexander Floyd | $15,000 | Requested; the court may award less |
| Payments to valid claimants | Remainder, split equally | Depends on approved deductions and number of claims |
Other Washington job-posting cases have different class sizes and terms. For example, the Belcan Engineering Group $1.65M pay transparency settlement has its own deadline, class period and payment estimate, and does not determine what you would receive here.

Your Options and What You Give Up
| Option | What it means | Deadline |
| File a claim | You get an equal share if the court approves, and you release the covered claims | December 14, 2026 |
| Do nothing | No payment, but if the settlement is approved you are still bound by the release and cannot sue over the covered claims | None |
| Opt out | No payment; you are not bound by the release and keep your right to sue on your own | December 14, 2026 (postmark) |
| Object | You stay in the class and tell the court what you dislike; you cannot object if you opt out | December 14, 2026 |
The release covers Quadrant, its affiliates, insurers and related parties, and those who helped create, publish or host its job postings or assisted its recruiting. It covers claims during the class period over the alleged pay transparency violations under RCW 49.58.110, including related claims such as interest, liquidated, exemplary and statutory damages, and attorneys’ fees. Participating does not waive claims outside the release.
To opt out, mail a signed, dated letter to the administrator at the address above, postmarked by December 14, 2026. Include your full name, your address, and a statement that you want to be excluded from Alexander Floyd v. Quadrant Technologies LLC, Case No. 25-2-03238-8 SEA. You cannot opt out by phone or email, and each person must send their own request.
To object, file a written objection with the court, King County Superior Court, 516 Third Avenue, Room E-609, Seattle, WA 98104, and mail copies to both sets of lawyers, each postmarked by December 14, 2026:
| Class counsel | Defendant’s counsel |
| Timothy W. Emery, Patrick B. Reddy, Paul Cipriani, Emery Reddy, PC, 600 Stewart Street, Suite 1100, Seattle, WA 98101 | Nicole E. Demmon and Callie A. Lee, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, 701 Fifth Avenue, Suite 2100, Seattle, WA 98104 |
Your objection must include your name, address, phone and email; the case name and number; your reasons; your attorney’s details, if any; whether you intend to appear at the hearing; a list of any other class settlements you or your attorney objected to in the last three years; and your signature and date. An informal email to the administrator does not count.
Important Dates
| Date | Event |
| December 14, 2026 | Claim, opt-out and objection deadline |
| January 14, 2027, 1:00 p.m. PT | Final approval hearing before Judge Ken Schubert |
The hearing is at King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Room W-813, Seattle, WA 98104, and can be attended remotely by Zoom using the link on the official FAQ page. You do not have to attend. The date and time can change by court order, so check the official website or the court docket.
When Will Payments Be Sent?
Not until the court grants final approval and any appeals or other reviews are finished. Checks are then mailed to eligible claimants and expire 180 days after issuance, so cash them promptly. No payment date has been announced, and the January 14, 2027 hearing is a step in approval, not a mailing date.
Will Quadrant Retaliate Against Claimants?
No. The FAQ says Quadrant will not retaliate against anyone for participating, not participating or objecting, and that your decision will not affect a job application with Quadrant or its treatment of current or former employees.
Who Represents the Class?
The court appointed Timothy W. Emery, Patrick B. Reddy and Paul Cipriani of Emery Reddy, PC as class counsel. You do not pay them directly, and you do not need your own lawyer. You may hire one at your own expense.
This case is part of a wider run of Washington job-posting lawsuits. Another example is the Jimmy John’s $975,000 Washington job posting settlement, which involves a different defendant and different terms.
