Pulsz and Pulszbingo Virtual Chip Purchases Settlement, Elect Cash by November 30, 2026

Yellow Social Interactive Limited (YSI), the company behind the Pulsz and Pulszbingo apps, has agreed to settle a class action over its sale of virtual chips. Players who spent money on the apps while in six states can receive a share of their net spending. By default, that comes as virtual Gold Coins. Players who file an election form can instead ask for cash.

The deadline to elect cash, exclude yourself or object is November 30, 2026. You do not have to do anything to receive the Gold Coin benefit. The settlement still needs final court approval at a hearing on December 31, 2026.

Official settlement website: https://www.ysisettlement.com/ Official election form portal: https://ysisettlement.pnclassaction.com/

YSI denies all claims and says the apps are not illegal gambling. The settlement is a compromise of disputed claims, not a court finding against YSI.

Why Were Pulsz and Pulszbingo Sued?

The lawsuit alleges that YSI violated gambling laws in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, New Jersey and Massachusetts through its sale of virtual chips in Pulsz and Pulszbingo. These are social casino-style games that use virtual currency. The plaintiffs argued that the purchase and redemption structure of the games made them illegal gambling under those states’ laws and that players could recover their losses.

YSI denies that its apps are illegal gambling under any state’s law and denies the other allegations. It agreed to settle to avoid the cost, risk and delay of continued litigation. The court has not decided who is right.

What Laws Are Behind the Pulsz and Pulszbingo Lawsuit?

This case is built on state gambling and loss-recovery laws, and the legal questions are still developing.

  • State gambling definitions. Most states define gambling as risking something of value on a game of chance in hopes of winning something of value. The core fight in social casino cases is whether virtual chips or coins count as a “thing of value.” Social casino operators argue they do not, and that the games are entertainment.
  • Gambling loss-recovery statutes. Many states have laws that let a person who lost money gambling sue to get it back, sometimes with limited filing windows. Examples of this type of law include Ala. Code § 8-1-150, Tenn. Code Ann. § 29-19-101, Ky. Rev. Stat. § 372.040, N.J. Stat. Ann. § 2A:40-5 and Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 137, § 1. The settlement documents we reviewed do not list which exact statutes the complaint relies on, so check the complaint and agreement before treating any of these as the legal basis here.
  • Court precedent. In Kater v. Churchill Downs Inc. (9th Cir. 2018), a federal appeals court held that virtual chips in a social casino game were a “thing of value” under Washington’s gambling law, because players could buy more chips and the chips extended play. That decision applied Washington law and does not bind Alabama or the other states here, but it shaped many later social casino cases.
  • Sweepstakes-style models. Games with two kinds of currency, one bought and one redeemable for prizes, are legally contested. A number of states have moved to restrict sweepstakes-style casino games. Whether a particular app is lawful depends on each state’s statutes and how courts read them.
  • Class action rules. The case is in Alabama state court, so Alabama’s Rule 23 of the Rules of Civil Procedure governs class certification and requires the court to approve any class settlement after notice and a hearing. That is the purpose of the December 31 hearing.
  • Class Action Fairness Act notice (28 U.S.C. § 1715). Federal law requires notice of proposed class settlements to state and federal officials, and a court generally cannot grant final approval until at least 90 days after that notice.

Who Qualifies for the Pulsz and Pulszbingo Settlement?

You are in the settlement class if you spent money to play Pulsz or Pulszbingo while physically in one of these states during these dates:

StateClass period
AlabamaMarch 8, 2022 through August 31, 2026
TennesseeNovember 12, 2022 through August 31, 2026
KentuckyJune 29, 2023 through August 31, 2026
OhioFebruary 19, 2024 through August 31, 2026
New JerseyFebruary 19, 2024 through August 31, 2026
MassachusettsFebruary 19, 2024 through August 31, 2026

Your state is based on information YSI has, such as billing address and IP address. Living in one of these states now does not by itself establish eligibility if you played from elsewhere during the period. The dates above come from the court-approved notice. The settlement agreement describes the end date as the date of preliminary approval, so the notice’s August 31, 2026 date is the one to rely on.

The settlement covers spending on Pulsz and Pulszbingo only. It does not cover purchases on unrelated social casino games.

What Is a Net Purchase Amount?

To receive any benefit, you need a net purchase amount above zero. That is your total purchases on an app minus your successful prize redemptions on that same app. For example, a player who bought $300 of virtual chips and redeemed $200 in prizes has a net purchase amount of $100. A player who redeemed more than they spent has a net amount of $0 and is not eligible for either benefit.

Pulsz and Pulszbingo Virtual Chip Purchases Settlement, Elect Cash by November 30, 2026

What Do Pulsz and Pulszbingo Players Get From the YSI Settlement?

Option 1: Gold Coins Automatically (27% of Net Purchases)

If you do nothing, YSI will credit your account with virtual Gold Coins worth 27% of your net purchases, less administration expenses and attorneys’ fees. The conversion rate is 10,000 Gold Coins per dollar. Under the agreement’s example, a net amount of $50 after deductions would be 500,000 Gold Coins.

Larger awards may arrive in installments. The notice says coins are delivered over two or five years depending on the size of the award, and the agreement lets YSI spread delivery over up to 12 months.

Gold Coins are non-redeemable, non-transferable and carry no cash value. The agreement also says anyone who receives coins agrees to YSI’s current terms of service for using them.

Option 2: Cash by Election Form (23% of Net Purchases)

If you want money instead, you can file an election form and receive 23% of your net purchases, less administration expenses, attorneys’ fees and the incentive award. The election is optional. The form is on the settlement website, and you can also request a paper one. The form asks for your full legal name, which app or apps you played, your Player IDs, the email addresses tied to your accounts, your contact information and your preferred payment method (electronic payment or check).

There are three limits to know about:

  • A cap on total cash. All cash elections combined are capped at 25% of the estimated total benefit. The agreement says the estimated total benefit is expected to be about $14 million. If cash elections go over the cap, each person’s cash is reduced proportionally, and the reduced part is paid as Gold Coins instead. So 23% is a calculation rate, not a guaranteed cash amount.
  • Identity verification. If you have not already gone through YSI’s usual user verification process for prize redemptions, you will have to complete it. If you fail verification, you get the Gold Coin benefit rather than cash.
  • Complete forms only. If your election form is missing information, the administrator can give you extra time, but the missing information must arrive within 28 days after the election deadline or the election is denied.

CapYes. Total cash is capped, and reductions are paid as Gold CoinsNot applicable

The percentages are not directly comparable, because Gold Coins can only be used in the games and cannot be turned into money.

A Simple Example of the Math

These figures are illustrations, not guarantees. Say your net purchases were $1,000. Before deductions, the cash option would be about $230 and the Gold Coin option about $270 worth of coins (2.7 million Gold Coins). Final amounts will be lower after the court decides fees and costs, and cash could be reduced if the cap is hit.

Changes YSI Agreed to Make

YSI also agreed to keep several player protections in place: a responsible gameplay webpage with resources on online gaming behavior disorders, a voluntary self-exclusion policy, and game mechanics that let players who run out of Gold Coins keep playing at least one free-to-play game without buying anything. The agreement states these are not an admission that the apps are gambling or unlawful.

How to Elect a Cash Payment

  1. Open the official settlement website and review the notice and FAQs.
  2. Open the election form portal listed near the top of this article.
  3. Gather your account details: your legal name, the app or apps you played, your Player IDs, the emails tied to your accounts and your contact information.
  4. Select the cash option and your payment method.
  5. Submit by November 30, 2026, online or by mail using the paper form, and keep your confirmation.

Never send account passwords or login credentials to anyone who contacts you unexpectedly. Use only the official website and administrator contact details.

What Happens to Dormant Accounts and Players in Some States?

The agreement notes that YSI currently does not offer the apps to users in Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee, and that accounts in withdrawn states, or accounts that are inactive, are treated as dormant. A dormant account that qualifies for Gold Coins can be reactivated only to play with the coins awarded under the settlement, for at least 60 days. If the account is then inactive for 60 days or more, YSI may terminate it even if coins remain.

Accounts closed because the player used self-exclusion or self-termination can elect cash only. Accounts closed by YSI for fraud or violating its terms get no benefits.

If you live in one of the states where the apps are no longer available, think about whether Gold Coins would be of any use to you before deciding whether to elect cash.

What Are You Giving Up in the Pulsz and Pulszbingo Settlement?

Unless you exclude yourself, you release YSI and related parties from claims about the operation of the apps and the sale of virtual coins. That includes claims that the apps are illegal gambling, that virtual coins are something of value, that the apps are deceptive or unfair, or that YSI was unjustly enriched. It includes claims that might otherwise have to go to arbitration and claims for in-app purchases attributable to payment processing fees.

This applies whether or not you file an election form. The release does not affect the separate platform cases against Apple, Google, Facebook and Amazon over simulated casino-style games, since those companies are not parties to this settlement. Read the full agreement on the settlement website, since the release is broad.

To exclude yourself, send a signed letter that names the case (Robinson v. Yellow Social Interactive, LTD, Case No. 33-CV-2025-900072.00) and includes your name, phone number, mailing address, email address and your Player IDs or user IDs with the email addresses tied to your Pulsz or Pulszbingo accounts. Send it to the YSI Settlement Administrator at [email protected] or P.O. Box 1029, Baton Rouge, LA 70821. A signature from only a lawyer is not enough, and mass opt-outs are not allowed.

Objections must be in writing, filed with the court and delivered to both class counsel and YSI’s counsel by November 30, 2026. They must include specific details such as your user IDs, contact information and the grounds for your objection. The notice and the settlement agreement list every requirement, so check them before sending an objection. An objection is different from opting out: you stay in the class and keep the settlement benefits if the settlement is approved.

When Will Payments Be Made in the Pulsz Settlement?

The final approval hearing is scheduled for December 31, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Circuit Court of Franklin County, 410 N. Jackson Avenue, Russellville, Alabama. You do not have to attend. The court will decide whether the settlement is fair and will rule on attorneys’ fees and incentive awards. The hearing is not a payment date.

If you file an election form, you should receive a check or electronic payment within 60 days after the settlement is finally approved and any appeals are done. Checks are void 90 days after issue. If a check is not cashed or an electronic payment fails within 90 days, that money goes back to YSI and you receive Gold Coins instead.

If the court does not approve the settlement, no benefits will go out and the lawsuit will continue. YSI also has the right to cancel the settlement if more than 5% of the class objects or opts out.

The agreement treats payments as a non-taxable refund of past purchases and says no W-9 is required. It also says the parties give no tax advice, so ask a tax professional if you are unsure.

Who Are the Lawyers in the Pulsz and Pulszbingo Class Action?

The court appointed lawyers from Davis & Norris, LLP and Bedford, Rogers & Bowling, P.C. as class counsel. Under the agreement, they are D. Frank Davis and Wesley W. Barnett of Davis & Norris and Jeffrey L. Bowling of Bedford, Rogers & Bowling. YSI is represented by Duane Morris LLP. Class members are not charged for class counsel.

The class representatives are Leshaun Robinson, Luke Whitney, Carissa Pyles, Thomas Veil, Sharon King and Steven Davis. Each may ask for an incentive award of up to $10,000. Class counsel agreed to ask for no more than 30% of the settlement amount in fees, plus expenses, and the court may award less.

How Does This Compare With Other Social Casino Settlements?

Other social casino cases have also challenged the sale of virtual chips under state gambling laws. For example, we have covered the Playstudios $3M Casino App Settlement, Deadline Oct. 21, 2026. That settlement involves different games and a separate agreement, so its deadlines, payment cap and eligibility rules should not be applied to the Pulsz and Pulszbingo case. Always check the official website for the specific case you are considering.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Pulsz and Pulszbingo Settlement

Is the Pulsz and Pulszbingo settlement real?

Yes. It has an official settlement website with the notice, FAQs, election portal and settlement agreement, and a court hearing is scheduled. It is a proposed settlement, so final approval is still pending.

Do I have to file a form to get anything?

No. If you do nothing, you receive Gold Coins in your account. You only need the election form to ask for cash.

How much cash can I get?

23% of your net purchases, minus fees and costs. The amount can be lower if total cash elections exceed the cap.

What are net purchases?

The amount spent on an app during the covered period minus successful prize redemptions on that same app.

What if I spent money on the apps but won more than I spent?

You need a net purchase amount above zero. If your successful prize redemptions were at least as much as your purchases, you are not eligible for a benefit.

Yes, if you exclude yourself by November 30, 2026. You would receive no settlement benefits. If you are considering this, talk to a licensed attorney first.

Does YSI admit the apps are gambling?

No. YSI denies all claims and says it settled to avoid the cost and uncertainty of litigation. The court has not decided who is right.

Where can I ask questions?

Call the settlement administrator at 1-833-656-1878 or email [email protected]. You can also call class counsel for free at 1-800-667-6759.

Bottom Line

Anyone who spent money on Pulsz or Pulszbingo in the six covered states may be owed a share of their net spending, but the default is virtual coins, not money. If you want cash, you need to file the election form by November 30, 2026, and be ready to verify your identity. Players who redeemed as much as they spent are not eligible. Staying in the settlement also means giving up the right to sue YSI over the released claims.
