Mejuri $950K Washington Settlement, Mejuri Didn’t Post Salary Ranges on Washington Job Listings
If you applied for a job with Mejuri in Washington state between January 1, 2023, and January 30, 2026, you may already be in line for a cash payment — and you don’t need to do anything to collect it. The Canadian fine jewelry brand agreed to a $950,000 class action settlement after a lawsuit alleged it repeatedly violated Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act by leaving salary ranges off its job postings. Judge Rania Rampersad of King County Superior Court is overseeing the case, captioned Nicole Yount v. Mejuri (US), Inc., et al., Case No. 25-2-03008-3 SEA.

Washington Requires Salary Ranges in Job Postings — Mejuri Left Them Out
Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110) requires employers to include a wage scale or salary range in every job posting that lists an open position in the state. The law exists so that job seekers can evaluate whether a role is worth their time before applying — without having to negotiate in the dark.
The lawsuit filed by class representative Nicole Yount claims that Mejuri (US), Inc., Mejuri (US) Holdings Inc., and Mejuri Bricks (US) LLC posted Washington job openings without disclosing the required wage or salary information, violating that law. Mejuri is the parent entity behind a popular direct-to-consumer jewelry brand known for its minimalist gold pieces and retail stores across North America.
Mejuri denies that it is or can be held liable for the claims made in the lawsuit, and the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing. Both sides agreed to resolve the case to avoid the uncertainty, risks, and expense of continued litigation.
You Might Already Qualify Without Knowing It
You are part of the settlement class if you applied for at least one job opening in Washington with Mejuri (US), Inc., Mejuri (US) Holdings Inc., or Mejuri Bricks (US) LLC between January 1, 2023, and January 30, 2026, in response to a job posting that did not properly disclose the wage scale or salary range for the position.
You may qualify if:
- You submitted a job application for any Mejuri position based in Washington state during the class period
- The posting you responded to did not list a pay range or salary scale
- You applied online, through a job board, or directly on Mejuri’s careers page
- Mejuri does not need to have hired you — applicants who were rejected or never heard back are still included
If you are still not sure whether you are included, you can contact the settlement administrator by calling toll-free (844) 340-6698 or emailing [email protected].

You Get Paid Automatically — No Form to Fill Out
This settlement works differently from most class actions. All settlement class members who do not exclude themselves will automatically receive an equal share of the class fund — the settlement administrator will use existing records to determine eligibility and mail checks directly. You do not need to submit a claim form.
After attorneys’ fees of $316,666.66, expenses of $5,000, a $20,000 service award to class representative Nicole Yount, and up to $20,000 in administration costs are deducted from the $950,000 fund, approximately $588,333 remains for distribution to eligible class members in equal shares.
The exact per-person amount depends on how many people are in the class — the more class members, the smaller each share. The settlement administrator considers these payments non-wage damages and will report them on IRS Form 1099. If you have concerns about tax implications, consult a tax professional.
One thing you must do: Make sure the settlement administrator has your current mailing address. If the administrator does not have your current address, you may not receive your payment. You can update your address by contacting Simpluris at P.O. Box 26170, Santa Ana, CA 92799, by phone at (844) 340-6698, or by email at [email protected].
If the administrator does not have a valid mailing address for you, payment can alternatively be sent electronically via PayPal or Venmo.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to file any paperwork to get paid?
No. This is one of the rare settlements where eligible class members receive automatic payments without submitting a claim form. The only action required is making sure Simpluris has your current mailing address on file before the final approval date.
I applied for a Mejuri job in Washington but wasn’t hired. Do I still qualify?
Yes. Mejuri need not have hired or employed you for you to qualify — the class covers anyone who applied during the class period in response to a qualifying job posting, regardless of the outcome of their application.
Do I need a lawyer?
No. The Court appointed Timothy Emery, Patrick B. Reddy, and Paul Cipriani of Emery Reddy, PC to represent all settlement class members at no cost to you. You are not required to hire your own attorney.
Is this settlement legitimate?
Yes. Judge Rania Rampersad of King County Superior Court is overseeing the case, and Simpluris — a court-appointed national settlement administrator — is managing payments.
When will payments go out?
The court will hold the final approval hearing on June 12, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. If the court approves the settlement, eligible class members will be sent payment after all appeals and other reviews are completed. Realistically, payments arrive several months after that date.
What if I want to opt out and sue Mejuri separately?
You can exclude yourself by mailing a written exclusion request to the settlement administrator postmarked no later than April 22, 2026. Your letter must include your full name, address, a statement that you wish to be excluded, your signature, and the case name and number. If you opt out, you receive no settlement payment but preserve the right to file your own lawsuit.
Will this payment be taxed?
Possibly. The settlement administrator reports payments as non-wage damages on IRS Form 1099. Consult a tax professional to understand how the payment affects your individual return.
What happens if I do nothing at all?
If you do nothing and the court approves the settlement, you will still receive a payment in the mail and be bound by all court orders, the settlement agreement, and its release — meaning you cannot later file a separate lawsuit against Mejuri for the same claims.
Washington workers and job seekers have seen a growing wave of EPOA enforcement actions in recent years. If you applied to other Washington employers during this period and received postings without salary ranges, you may be eligible for similar settlements.
